BROADCAST
JOURNALISM

September
2010 and March 2011
The
Broadcast Journalism program teaches students everything
from the behind-the-scenes technical aspects of TV
as well as developing on-camera and on-air
radio broadcasting skills.
Students
in this program learn to write broadcast style,
conduct interviews with local officials and people throughout
the Capital Region.
Students
will study in-depth techniques for shooting and editing
reporter packages and produce half-hour shows (entertainment,
news, weather, and sports).
During
live studio, students will have extensive training on voice,
ad-lib and personality development
as well as television appearance.
Broadcast
students will also acquire all necessary skills to pursue a
career as a professional in radio.
Students
will learn to produce, and deliver their own newscasts on radio.
The lessons take place in the classroom, studio and in the field
alongside the local media.
